Airport checkpoint in India is Horrendous

Customs in India while leaving for US.

1. Get off the taxi.

2.  Long line to enter inside the airport. All the airlines on Gate D are clubbed together which led to a long line.

3. Show your passport and eticket to the CISF officer at the airport.

4. Walk at the Delta counter. Fortunately there are 4 counters open. The delta rep at the counter lets me check my bags for free. He was being very considerate..

5. I get my boarding passes and my two bags are checked in upto Nashville. Great customer service.

6. I proceed to the security check.  All the travelers need to complete the immigration form.

7. I show up at the immigration counter with the boarding pass, immigration form andthe advance parole documents. I get my passport stamped. The I migration official takes the immigration slip.

8. Move to the security check. Take off my iPad, two cell phones and polo sweater.

9. The security guy frisked my body and I was sent through a metal detector. He then stamps my passport and I am allowed to move forward.

10. I arrive at my gate of departure. The ground staff announcing the boarding gets chewed by an irate customer for his haphazard announcements. There are two lines to board which causes an absolute chaos.

11. After we move through the line and arrive at the ticket counter, we are suppose to display the passport and the boarding pass. We are asked a few questions . We're we carrying any weapons? We're we having any one else holding our bags.?

12. Move forward through the vestibule.

13. There is one final frisking at this checkpoint.  The bags are passed through the security baggage mechanism. I am asked to take my shoes off and empty my pockets. Final security checks done.

14. Good to go.
